We also specialize in high-quality finish carpentry including trim installation, baseboards, crown molding, and custom architectural details that create a polished and cohesive look throughout your home.

In addition to custom carpentry projects, we also take on select whole home renovations. From reimagining layouts to updating finishes and architectural details, we work closely with homeowners to transform their spaces with both function and beauty in mind.
Because we are a small, hands-on team, we intentionally take on a limited number of renovation projects each year. This allows us to give every project the time, care, and attention to detail it deserves from start to finish.

Craft & Calling Co. was built on the belief that great work begins with purpose.
We’re a husband-and-wife team based in Elk River, Minnesota, specializing in custom built-ins, finish carpentry, and thoughtful interior details that elevate everyday living. Our work blends craftsmanship, design, and intention — creating spaces that feel both beautiful and deeply personal.
The name Craft & Calling reflects how we approach this work. For us, building isn’t just a trade — it’s something we feel called to do. Much of our inspiration comes from the example of the ORIGINAL CARPENTER, whose work was marked by care, humility, and purpose. That influence shapes how we approach both our craft and the people we serve.
Every project we take on is designed to feel custom to the home and the family who lives there. From built-ins that anchor a living room to panel walls that add warmth and character, our focus is always on the details that make a space feel intentional.
As a small business, we take on a limited number of projects so we can give each one the attention it deserves. Our clients work directly with us throughout the entire process — from the first conversation and design ideas to the final installation.
To us, craftsmanship isn’t just about the finished product. It’s about how the work is done, the care put into every step, and the experience we create for the people inviting us into their homes.
Because at the end of the day, this isn’t just construction.

OUR PROCESS.
After you fill out the ‘START YOUR PROJECT' form we will schedule a phone consultation where we will discuss more about your project.
STEP 1
After our phone call we will schedule an ‘in home’ consultation (if needed) to discuss ideas, see inspiration images and get more of an overall picture of what you want in your home.
STEP 2
We pride ourselves in sending same day proposals. After we have the ‘in home’ consolation you will receive an email with your proposal. In that proposal we share the estimated costs, project scopes and the project timeline.
STEP 3
When you are ready to move forward, you’ll be asked to put a 10% deposit down and that is what holds your spot on our calendar. We then will send out a contract and schedule another in home meeting where we discuss measurements, final details and design.
